MY WEEK 9 : ( FEB 27TH )
What a week we have had with the weather again, still no sign of Spring arriving.
Ah well I still managed to get my sweet pea laths in place, all 96 of them, just waiting now for the ground to thaw out and I'll be able to get them planted, can't wait.
I have sown my Summer Cabbages this week, I have chosen a white drumhead variety, also this week I have sown 2 trays of Petunias and 2 trays of Busy Lizzies ready for about 100 hundred hanging baskets/pots & towers that I'll be making for the summer.
The Chrysanthemum cuttings have rooted well, I will have to pot them on soon, as I will need the propogator for other seed sowings.
Have sown my Broad Beans ( Bunyards Exhibition ) in cell trays, I find this the best way to get round the problem of direct sown beans being eaten by the local mice population, I will transplant them when they are about 3-4" tall. I have also sown a few lettuce this week, Webbs Wonderful and Lollo Rosso.
Well that's it for this week, hope Spring comes soon, thanks Steve.

I learnt the lesson about mice and beans the hard way...lost all of my direct sown ones..and have had to plant again in the coldframe.
Bloddy annoying, but not a mistake I'll make again next year!
