MY WEEK 10 : ( MAR 6TH )
Thank goodness the weather has warmed up, I have been able to get going with the sowing and planting at long last.
This week I've planted my Shallots (Golden Gourmet) and my Sweet Peas, also sown Red Cayenne Peppers, Sweet Peppers, various Tomatoes ( Moneymaker, Tiny Tim, Tumbling Tom and Beefsteak ), Parsnips ( Avon Resistor) which I find have a good resistance to canker, Salad Onions and Leeks ( Musselburgh).
I have also potted on the Chrysanthemum cuttings which had rooted well into tray inserts ( see picture ), 20 per seed tray, until they are large enough to then go into 3" pots individualy.
I have rotorvated part of the green manure plot ready for the potatoes to be grown in later this month, have also potted up the fuchsia plants from last year to start them into producing cutting material for this years flowers.
I hope you are all enjoying the better weather conditions and managing to get started on your plots.
Well that's it for this week, speak to you all next week, thanks Steve.

Wow - how neat is your plot - I am full of the thinking that plots should look nice as well as being functional, a plot like yours is what I aspire to - Well done!

Steve,
Can you tell me how your paths stand up to the every-day walking, wheel barrows, etc. Is the membrane fabric strong enough to take the 'heavy traffic'. I am interested because we have spent 15 years gradually paving ours with second hand slabs.
I shall follow your plot with interest.
Well done.
Beryl.
