This is my garlic crop at the moment, I planted it on Christmas Eve as I could not get to do it on the Shortest Day, (Dec 21st), I am pleased with it`s progress which I believe is probably due to growing it in raised beds which tend to allow the soil to warm up a little quicker than open ground.

  • Garlic is best planted in September or early October, that way it gets a head start before the really cold weather and will romp away as soon as spring comes. You get much bigger heads that way.
    Garlic is probably the hardiest crop we grow.
