This is my 1st plot which I took on 5 years ago, as you can see I have created raised beds with weed contol fabric pathways in between them. At the far end of the plot I am erecting a polytunnel 18` x 32` which I hope to complete and cover by the Autumn. I will be using this for over wintering Autumn sown sweet peas which I grow using the cordon method and then during the rest of the year for salad crops.

  • Wow inspirational, its all so tidy.
but how do you manage to keep the weed membrane in place , as i have found that if i do not cover it in stones it will blow away.

  • The raised beds look great. Very neat and tidy and not how you'd expect a 'typical' allotment to look.

  • Steve, as I said on Kitchen Garden, very impressed with your blogsite and allotment site. I wouldn't mind doing a blog myself. Do you have an expensive digital camera? I don't have one at the moment so if you have any advice in that direction I would appreciate it
